Gluten-Free Christmas Cookies

Christmas is just a week away and the cookie baking was on the agenda today!  We used Pamela's Classic Vanilla Cake Mix and followed the recipe on the side of the package for Sugar Cookies.  With Jack's Christmas party at school tomorrow, this was the perfect day to bake them so he could have a special treat at school tomorrow while the other children have their Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes.
Next year, I plan to offer to bake gluten-free cookies for his whole class so everyone can have the same treat! I'm not sure where this year went, but before I knew it, it was the school Christmas party!!
So onto the fun part - the baking process!

Step 1:
Little hands working hard!
Step 2:
Ready to go in the oven!
Step 3:
Cooling down!
Step 4:
Frosted and Sprinkled!

The cookies turned out fabulous and it's a great Christmas tradition that I look forward to doing with Jack and his sis every year.

Now that we have all come down from our sugar high, it's time for a good night sleep and may it be a productive week of gift wrapping for all! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our family to yours!

Every Child Should Be Able to Enjoy a Smore

Smores, Smores, Smores! The kiddos were so excited! After a day of raking leaves with Daddy, going to Lowe's and collecting sticks for the fire, the kids were finally able to enjoy their special treat.

Roasting Marshmallows!

Thank you so much to Kinnikinnick for making gluten-free graham crackers!  As far as I know Kinnikinnick is currently the only brand that makes gluten-free graham crackers. We may have to travel 25 minutes to get them, but it's worth every minute so Jack can enjoy a Smore as well! Nothing like gooey marshmallow and melted chocolate together!

Jack taking the plunge! So good!

It was a fun night for sure - we look forward to many more bonfires and smores!  Because every child should be able to enjoy Smore. :)
