Sweet Faces of Celiac Disease: Meet Aaron

Aaron is 3 1/2 years old and was just diagnosed this past year with celiac disease.

At what age was your child diagnosed with celiac disease?

3 years old

What symptoms was your child having before being diagnosed?

Bloated belly, slowed growth, alternating constipation and diarrhea, smaller than his twin sister. I actually say a picture of Jack pre-diagnosis from your blog and thought "wow, that looks like Aaron!"

Any other family members diagnosed with celiac disease?

None. 3 siblings and myself are negative. Dad still needs his blood work done.

How has your child’s life changed since being diagnosed?

His mood is so much better!! He has grown some and he is slightly less picky with his food.

What advice would you offer a parent who’s child was just diagnosed with celiac disease?

Believe that your child will feel better. It has been a very small amount of time since our diagnosis, but the improvement has been wonderful. We also made our house gluten free. I want my son to feel safe at home and know that he doesn't have to think about food too much at home.

Aaron, I'm so happy your belly feels better and your mood has improved so much! Now you can enjoy all the things that 3 year olds love to do.

Yes Mom, believing it will ALL get better and staying positive is so important. I recall the first 2 weeks with Jack after going gluten-free - the transformation was AMAZING. And I KNEW from that point, he was going to be okay.

  1. Aaron’s dad was diagnosed this year. A much easier transition since we were already GF at home.

  2. I started on COPD Herbal treatment from Ultimate Life Clinic, the treatment worked incredibly for my lungs condition. I used the herbal treatment for almost 4 months, it reversed my COPD. My severe shortness of breath, dry cough, chest tightness gradually disappeared. Reach Ultimate Life Clinic via their WEBSITE . I can breath much better and It feels comfortable!
